BOTOX TREATMENT

Botox treatment involves injecting a purified protein into specific muscles to temporarily relax them. This helps smooth out wrinkles and fine lines, particularly on the forehead, around the eyes, and between the eyebrows. The procedure is quick (about 10-15 minutes), with minimal pain and no downtime. Results are typically visible within a few days and last 3-4 months. Botox is also used to treat medical conditions like migraines, excessive sweating, and muscle spasms.

We recommend scheduling a consultation prior to treatment.

  • You may apply an ice or cold gel pack to the area(s) treated (avoiding pressure) as this helps reduce swelling and the potential for bruising.
  • AVOID placing excessive pressure on the treated area(s) for the first few days; when cleansing your face or applying makeup, be very gentle. If possible, do not apply makeup for 4 hours after treatment.
  • AVOID exercise or strenuous activities for 24-48 hours; you may resume other normal activities/routines immediately.
  • AVOID Herbal supplements, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, or Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs, and Alcohol for 24 hours after treatment.

  • AVOID extended UV exposure until any redness/swelling has subsided.
  • Be sure to apply an SPF 30 or higher sunscreen.
  • Wait a minimum of 7 days (or as directed by your provider) before receiving any skin care or laser treatments (including facials or massages that require pressure).
  • Treatment using BOTOX® may take 3–8 days to take effect. The benefits may last 3–6 months, the average is 4 months.
  • Treatment using DYSPORT® may take 2-3 days to take effect. The benefits may last 3-6 months.
  • Bruising after treatment is normal, although rarely occurs and can last up to several days. Using Arnica may help diminish bruising.

  • A 2 week follow up is recommended.
  • If you have any questions or concerns, please call Skin Laser Genesis.
